Harnessed up on the Air Trail!
Another planned trip for the summer HAF was a visit to the Air Trail, situated beside the River Tees, adjacent to the Tees Barrage. After receiving a safety briefing children and a few adult volunteers were harnessed up and let loose to clamber across rope bridges, balance on planks and slide along zip lines, all high above the ground. Most people’s initial fear of heights was soon overcome, once they realised the harnesses and rope tether system would keep them safe. It was a great way to pass an hour or so, scurrying about high above the river and all the participants had an enjoyable time.
