Congratulations to Serenity Scott and Alex Williams who were recently nominated and received Teesside Hero Awards from The Teesside Charity.

In November, members from The Teesside Charity awarded both Serenity and Alex the award. Both Serenity and Alex are young pillars of our community who provide a safe environment to learn anti-bullying avoidance techniques, self-defence skills and confidence. Since a young age, they have both competed winning awards and medals in various martial arts. They are now spearheading a new campaign named Stop The Bull, helping children and young people to Stand Tall Against Bullying.

Stop The Bull is run in conjunction with a Stockton based charity, Roseberry Community Consortium. Together they will teach self-awareness, situational awareness, conflict management and self-defence skills. The charity offers consultancy/advocacy and assists in mediation to improve the lives of those affected by bullying.

Serenity and Alex’s group ‘NXT Generation MMA Teesside’ runs in Roseberry Community Consortium, Community Activity Hub, 78 Skinner Street, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 1EG. Should you wish for your child to benefit from learning anti-bullying avoidance techniques, please contact NXT Generation MMA directly on info@nxtgenerationmma-teesside.com or by phone on 07533335176.
