The inaugural charity Tea Party took place this afternoon. Sandwiches, cake, tea and the occasional cheeky Prosecco all went down well. Entertainment  was courtesy of Miss Serenity Scott, who sang us a few songs and Chris Smith, who undertook a sponsored leg wax. Some ladies were willing to pay for the privilege of ripping off the sticky strips and seemed to take real delight in their task. It was a convivial afternoon, the Hub was packed, tombola, raffle and a few other fundraising activities ensured only a minority of people went home empty-handed. The unofficial amount raised towards the Disney Trip was over £1,000 with more money still to be counted. The tea party was such a success, more are planned, one in summer and another at Christmas. Keep an eye on our FB page because tickets will sell out fast.
